Creating a space for activism, learning and discussion that is community led can help decentralize news and help eliminate misinformation.

It is important to find a way to evoke political participation/discussion while not replacing a movement with “slacktivism”. The platform that provides this safe space must also ensure that it is productive and does not slow down the progress of activism.  

Insight

Engagement fosters better understanding of your product or service benefits and how the brand fits into the customer’s lifestyle, and it lowers the barriers for trial and purchase.

Shifting the focus from technology to user and community experience, it is possible to find a balance between the two engagement degrees: as a consequence the audiences can enjoy the best content spread by the suitable devices, taking advantage of the opportunities of the contemporary cross mediated world.

Nearly 8 in 10 (77%) millennials say some of their best memories are from an event or live experience they attended or participated in. 69% believe attending live events and experiences make them more connected to other people, the community, and the world.

Idea

Assessing the potential of experiential advertising, and what it brings to consumers while experiencing through different types of mediums. 

Understanding different formats of experiential advertising and their results will help identify different successes and failures. I am interested in this because the recent change in our global climate has changed how we interact with brands.

These media forms provide a different way of messaging to consumers and present a diverse way of advertising. Therefore, benefitting brands that are trying to make a social impact, brands that want to become relevant, and brands attempting to establish a personal connection with consumers. I plan to uncover what social impact is most effective, what kind of audiences these experiences attract, and the types of experiential engagement marketing creates.

The Use of Experiential Advertising

Experiential advertising is a method used to create an emotional and memorable experience with a brand sowhen applied to activism it can help make information more understandable and presentable. Through the same methods used in experiential advertising, we can create an experience that is far more memorable than any piece of text and would entice people to learn more about the problems at hand. 

It is a different method in which a new dimension of learning can be more informative and unforgettable through the means of presenting in an experiential way.

How Does Modi Work?

Using these techniques Modi creates a virtual safe space that encompasses activism, learning environments, and a place for discussion/connection. These 3 different deliverables are entirely intertwined - therefore evoking a fluid discovery path. 

Essentially - those who seek a safe space for activism, or care to learn about impacted groups can easily understand the subject at hand.

Modi can be a resource for those who are struggling to connect with others, those who want to learn more about the world outside of their local bubble, and so much more.

With this connection, Modi becomes a place to engage and experience more about the different types of communities globally. 

Modi encourages self-discovery and hopes that you not only find communities to exist and connect within but also that you learn more about yourself, and can become a safe place for you.
